The Meltwater Champions Chess Tour began in November 2020. The Finals are the conclusion of our series of 10 tournaments, and will determine the winner of the Tour—the best online rapid chess player in the world!

Tournament Structure

Each tournament is 9 days long, and the players with the highest points accumulated throughout the Tour play in the Finals—along with two Tour Ambassadors that we select .

They will play 9 rounds over 9 days, with 5 matches per round, 4 games per match! They’ll take a rest day on September 30th.

What's at stake?

$300,000 USD in cash distributed amongst the players.
