Korchnoi Zurich Chess Challenge

After the blitz opening, the main part of the 2017 Korchnoi Zurich Chess Challenge is taking place from April 13-17 in the Kongresshaus, Zurich, Switzerland. 8 players, who include former World Champions Vladimir Kramnik and Viswanathan Anand, will play each other once at "new classical" chess and once at blitz. The new classical time control is 45 minutes for the whole game, with a 30-second increment per move from move 1. The blitz on the final day is 10 minutes for all moves, with a 5-second increment. The results are combined, with new classical games counting double, i.e. with 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw. Official website: zurich-cc.com
