Hawaii Chess Festival: GM Challenge

The "GM Challenge" is a four player double round-robin invitational tournament that includes three grandmasters and one player invited via a fundraiser benefiting the Hawaii Chess Academy. The tournament takes place in Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii on the island of O'ahu. Official site: hawaiichessfestival.com Players will compete in six rapid games (20 minutes + 10 second increment per move) and six blitz games (5 minutes + 2 second increment per move). In case of a tie for first place, a single blitz game will be played at 6 minutes for White and 4 minutes for Black, who will have draw odds. The winner will claim first place and the winner's trophy. The tournament will not be rated but will follow FIDE rules.
