The British Championship is held in the University of Warwick, Coventry from July 27 to August 7, with a rest day on Sunday August 2. The format is an 11-round Swiss, open to all players who qualify. David Howell is the heavy favourite to make it three national titles in a row. The first prize is £5,000 (€7,125 or $7,830).
