Chilean Championship

The 2017 Chilean Chess Championship final is taking place from 20-27 February in the Santiago Central Post Office. The event is a 12-player round-robin, with ten qualifiers from the semifinals joined by the reigning champion and a federation nominee. The time control is 90 minutes for the whole game, with a 30-second increment from move 1. A tie for first place will be settled by rapid tiebreaks. The champion will earn the right to play in the 2018 Olympiad as well as the zonal and continental events this year. Official website: www.ajefech.cl
