20th Bavarian Championship Open

The 20th International Bavarian Chess Championship (Bayerische Schachmeisterschaft) Open takes place in Bad Wiessee, Germany from 29 October to 6 November. The 9-round Swiss tournament boasts almost 500 players with two dozen grandmasters, including German no. 1 Dieter Nisipeanu. Players receive 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes for the remainder of the game, with a 30-second increment starting from move 1.
