Anna spent her childhood in Bataszek, a small town in southern Hungary. She started to play with the chess pieces along with her sister Kata… but treating the pieces as dolls! It wasn’t until a while later when she wanted to play “Battle Chess”, a game where the pieces fight each other with fun animations, that she had to learn the rules and discovered a new game. Anna was still only 4 years old.
Many competitions and successes followed. Anna maintained a position as one of the top players in her age group and her achievements include winning the European Junior Rapid Championship and the Hungarian Women’s Championship three times. Since 2008 she’s been a member of the national team.
A born traveller, she studied Russian and English at the University of Pecs and then in 2010 moved to Madrid, where she was able to combine teaching chess with tournaments.
Anna is a great communicator and presents her videos with the same charm and good nature she displays in everyday life. The relish with which she notes every detail makes learning easier and more fun.
As a versatile presenter you can find her both in Spanish explaining the basics of chess and in English, where she represents “Miss Strategy” together with her friend Sopiko “Miss Tactics” Guramishvili.
