The first 10 videos of chess24's Inside Team Magnus, an exclusive 10-hour video series for Premium members on Magnus Carlsen's World Championship match against Ian Nepomniachtchi, were released last month. Today you can watch three more behind-the-scenes episodes with Peter Heine Nielsen, Jan Gustafsson and Laurent Fressinet.
In the first part of Inside Team Magnus, the trio talk about how the team was selected, the training camps, the road to Thailand, and match strategy, before they go on to discuss the games themselves.
The highlight is obviously the Marathon Game 6, which was the longest World Championship game in history and finally broke a streak of 19 classical draws in a row in World Championship matches.
The next three episodes, released today, cover games 7, 8 and 9. Carlsen went on to win two of those games, which more or less clinched him the title.

During the start of the Game 7 video, Peter Heine Nielsen says about the situation, which was quite new for Carlsen:
The mood was great. Some fan pointed out that it was Magnus' first win in a classical World Championship game in more than five years. It was an unusual, but satisfying feeling. No doubt it felt great, but probably also he must have been tired and exhausted. It's much more fun to be on +1 than -1.
With the new situation of leading for the first time in five years, there were also some questions that needed to be answered before Game 8, in which Magnus was White. Which opening to go for? 1.e4, 1.d4 or 1.c4? Laurent Fressinet says:
I think he likes to be safe, first of all. Especially as he was still tired from Game 6. He wants to be safe, but he wants a game. He doesn't want a draw or anything like that.
If you want to watch the whole episode and the rest of the video series, it's available exclusively for chess24 Premium members, who also get access to a variety of exclusive content.
