Our quarterfinal contest has now been posted. Some of the favorites have big odds advantages - do you think that is warranted? Make your picks and root for your favorites.
In the overall contest, few had correctly guessed which players would be eliminated, and those folks are in the lead and have good chances, especially if they picked other players to finish at or near the top. Still, a surprising result could change everything.
As you've come to expect, FantasyChess is back for the Lindores Abbey Rapid Challenge, the second event of the Magnus Carlsen Chess Tour.
As described in more detail on our news and broadcast pages, the tournament features an exciting field of twelve players with a single round-robin that qualifies players for a knockout stage. In the knockout stage, think of a best of three sets in tennis. The winner will win two mini-matches of four games, all the way to the final.
The field includes some of the players of the MCI with more new faces, including some top young talents like Duda and Dubov.
The overall contest needs to be filled out prior to the start of play. There will be a prize for each contest. In the Overall contest, the first prize will be awarded a $200 voucher for our shop and second prize will receive $100. If the winner(s) are also premium, they will also receive a 60-minute private session with GM Pascal Charbonneau.
