Grandmaster Jan Gustafsson is back to answer the chess opening questions of chess24 premium members. If you need some general tips on how to approach the opening or concrete advice on specific opening weapons you’ve come to the right place. Jan was on Team Magnus for the London and New York World Championship matches, and while we had fun criticising how little they seemed to get against Fabiano, we have to admit that Carlsen has shown this year that they did come up with an idea or two!
Although chess openings make up the largest section of our video series here on chess24, we’ve had a lot of variety recently. The last three series, for instance, have been Romain Édouard looking at some of Veselin Topalov’s best games, Iossif Dorfman joining Jan to explain his Method in Chess, and now most recently Romain is back again to take a fresh look at a vital topic – how to play the endgame!
