Covid-19: Grenke Open cancelled

The Grenke Chess Open 2020 has been cancelled. The organizers announced this last night (German content). The reason is a general decree issued yesterday by the city of Karlsruhe that bans all public events.

The entry fee already paid can either be refunded, donated or used for the next year.

We still don't know if the Grenke Chess Classic will take place, but the open has already been lined up to return next Easter:
