    Generally please make sure that the engine is activated in your profile settings. To check this please visit the database tool (https://chess24.com/en/analysis) and choose "Settings" in the menu below the board. Make sure that "Show computer analysis" is activated.

    If you have more questions I suggest you contact support@chess24.com for help.

    an example of chess engine is stockfish, you need a third party to use it, there are many GUI's out there, chess engine is different from chess programs

    Yes, I couldn't agree with you more.  Imagine showing up at a live board with an engine to make your moves in a USCF tournament.

    When you use a computer engine while playing chess on line, you cheating to win the game. You are not only cheating your opponent but you are also cheating yourself. Don't cheat.
