It's a legal move called en-passant. When a pawn is pushed 2 squares you can capture it with a pawn as if it only moved 1 square. So in that case you can capture it on d6! It's only possible immediately on the next move after a pawn is pushed 2 squares.

The definition of advanced pawn shown in the glossary is incorrect. advanced pawn means passed pawn. Here is an example: all black's pawns are advanced by glossary definition but none are actually passed pawns. White's e2 and g4 pawns are not advanced by glossary but they are passed pawns. The definition of passed pawn is a pawn with no enemy pawns on the same or adjacent files that are on ranks ahead of your pawn.
