“Chess is a fascinating game which challenges you mentally. You need to concentrate and focus over long periods of time and also think about strategy and positioning. Chess has values that can easily be transferred to my profession as a professional football player and I think it’s important to train and maintain your shape mentally as well as physically. Chess is a good way of doing that.”
