We had our first real upsets of the 2014 Chess Olympiad on Sunday. The one that stood out was Norway’s Frode Urkedal claiming the scalp of Vassily Ivanchuk, as second seeds Ukraine were held to a shock draw. Norwegian grandmasters Jonathan Tisdall and Einar Gausel take a look at that game as well as all the other round 2 action.

By downloading our bulletin you can also find out who made it into the already infamous “Blunders, upsets and knockouts” section!
