Yorkshire Chess yesterday launched a second Fantasy Chess Olympiad (FCO) competition giving chess fans another chance to pick their dream team for the Tromsø Olympiad.
The musical Chess, featuring lyrics by Tim Rice and music by ABBA’s Bjørn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, has been a worldwide hit since it was first released as a concept album in 1984 and then a theatrical production in 1986.
Thrift store Fretex organised a fashion show in Tromsø inspired by the Chess Olympiad and 60s Futurism. The event proved a great success, with chess players and other spectators enjoying a visual and musical treat.
