Budimex Polish Women’s Championship

The 68th Budimex Polish Women’s Individual Championship is a 10-player round-robin tournament taking place in Poznań University of Economics from 30 March to 7 April. Participants include the Polish women’s no. 1 Monika Socko, reigning champion Jolanta Zawadzka and 7-time winner Iweta Rajlich. The top prize is 20,000 PLN (almost 5,000 EUR), with the top two players gaining an automatic place on the Polish national team. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves then 30 minutes to the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1. No draw offers are allowed before move 40.
