Poikovsky

The 16th Karpov International Chess Tournament takes place in Poikovsky, Russia from 28 September to 7 October. The event is a 10-player single round-robin, with Alexei Shirov and defending Champion Alexander Morozevich top seeds. Ernesto Inarkiev plays as a nominee of the Association of Chess Professionals. The time control is 100 minutes for 40 moves followed by 50 minutes until the end of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1.
