Batumi FIDE Women's Grand Prix

Batumi, Georgia hosts the third stage of the 2015-6 FIDE Women’s Grand Prix, now a series of five tournaments that will qualify the winner for a Women’s World Championship match. The 20 Grand Prix players must compete in three of the five tournaments, with the 12-player round-robin event in Batumi featuring the former World Champions Mariya Muzychuk and Alexandra Kosteniuk as the top two. The prize fund is €75,000, with the winner earning €10,000 and €15,000 going towards the overall Grand Prix prize fund. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, with 30 minutes to the end of the game and a 30-second increment from move one. No draws can be agreed before move 30.
