Champions Showdown - Chess960

The Champions Showdown features five 20-game matches between Garry Kasparov and Veselin Topalov, Nakamura and Svidler, So and Giri, Shankland and MVL, and Aronian and Dominguez held at the Saint Louis Chess Club from 11-14 September 2018. On the first 3 days there are 2 rapid and 2 blitz games, before ending with 8 blitz games on the final day. Each player has 30 minutes with a 10-second delay per move for the rapid games and 5 minutes with a 5-second delay for the blitz games. The starting positions of the pieces will be randomised according to the Fischer Random or Chess960 variant of chess. The total prize pool is $250,000. Official website: www.uschesschamps.com
