Asian Continental Championship

The 2016 Asian Continental Championship is taking place in the Uzbekistan Hotel, Tashkent from 26 May - 3 June. The 9-round Swiss tournament's top seed is Vietnam's Le Quang Liem, with rivals including local hero Rustam Kasimdzhanov and Chinese rising star Wei Yi. The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves then 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment from move 1. The total prize fund is $75,000, with $11,000 for 1st place.
