Nakamura vs. Aronian

The Showdown in Saint Louis is a five-round exhibition match between two of the world's finest grandmasters, Hikaru Nakamura and Levon Aronian. The event showcases four classical games of chess, and a fifth round featuring 16 games of Blitz chess. The grandmasters will play for the 60/40 split of a $100,000 prize pool. For scoring purposes, classical games count as four points each and blitz games count as one point each. The four classical games use a time control of 90 minutes for the first 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game plus a 30 second increment per move starting from move one.
