Rabat Blitz

The 6th edition of one of the world's main blitz tournaments is held May 16-17 at the Mega Mall Rabat, Morocco's capital, on the Atlantic coast. The tournament features a 21 round blitz marathon Swiss open tournament on May 16th, and a "open brain" exhibition game between GMs Nigel Short and Fabien Libiszewski on May 17th. The blitz tournament will be played at a rate of 3 minutes plus 2 seconds per move per player per game.
