Semi-Slav early e3

Hello guys,

I'm playing the Semi-Slav and found it quite difficult how to react to white playing 4.e3. When white plays the closed lines, I reach normal positions like this one: 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.Nc3 c6 5.e3 Nbd7 6.Bd3 dxc4 7.Bxc4 b5 8.Bd3 Bb7. If white plays 4.e3, however, I'm troubled by move-order tricks where I end in a variation I don't wanna play with eg Bd6. To all the Semi-slav players, how do you handle 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nf3 Nf6 4.e3 ? White can use the fact he delayed Nc3 to his advantage, but I don't really see the drawback of this move order for him...
